Overview:
Obril Cream is a dermatological formulation containing Hydroquinone (2%), a widely used skin-lightening agent. It is primarily used to treat melasma, freckles, age spots, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation by reducing the production of melanin in the skin. Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for melanin synthesis, thereby helping to lighten dark patches and promote an even skin tone.
